MHDSP-PREPaRE

 

 

We will begin using the screening tool PREPaRE that identifies appropriate students needing a targeted intervention for healing from traumatic experiences (individual counseling, family counseling, group counseling, etc.). 

 

PUSD utilizes evidence-based screening tools (SDQ, U-360, and PREPaRE) that will help to ensure that children and youth are identified earlier and gain access to treatment and other support services. Studies show that the way to integrate mental health services and shift the overall school culture is to develop and implement a comprehensive plan to support the academic, social and emotional needs of each student, linking each domain to the others.
